About this app

We are all feeling the effects of climate change. Many of us would therefore like to make our personal contribution to more climate protection. Often, however, the information on this is not brought to the point or the tips are not really suitable for everyday use.

This is exactly where the “Klima Buddy” app from the state of Baden-Württemberg comes in. At the beginning, our users can determine their personal CO2 footprint with just a few questions and set it in relation to the German average. They will then be given lots of tips and tricks on how they can save CO2 in their everyday lives and live more climate-friendly. The users are supported by their Climate Buddy, who makes young and old a lot of fun. And of course the app rewards every attempt for a more climate-friendly everyday life with points with which new functions can be activated for the Climate Buddy. So it's worth using the app regularly and trying out new missions over and over again.

In addition to useful tips and tricks for the areas of mobility, nutrition, living and lifestyle, the app also offers further information. For example, on the consequences of climate change in Baden-Württemberg or on projects that can offset personal CO2 emissions. For users who want to know exactly, the app has a tip for a detailed CO2 calculator that even takes pets and much more into account. The app also refers to an offer for young people. With the youth calculator, fans of Fridays for Future can also subject their everyday life to a CO2 check.
