Scandals, conflicts, and natural disasters. If that’s what we see on TV and social media 24/7, it's no wonder we’re struggling with depression, anxiety, and apathy – and Covid has only made matters worse.

Media outlets operate according to the decades-old “if it bleeds, it leads” mantra. We are more likely to pay attention to bad news, and since that’s what keeps newsrooms going, negative stories dominate the narrative. We’re here to fix this imbalance.

Every day, from Monday to Friday, we browse the internet to find stories about inspiring people, innovations, and solutions to eco-social problems. The result: five good news editions a week – each made up of the six most uplifting and relevant stories from around the world.

Whether it be clean energy, animal rights, recycling, social justice, biodiversity, global health, or technological advancements, we will make sure to cover all relevant aspects of life.

One of my favorite apps on my phone right now! I start my day with it usually and it's been nice and calming to read something uplifting during breakfast. It's very simple and easy to use; I like that the reader can tell a lot from the synopsis alone and then, if invested, they can read more. I'm learning lot from it — even on the days when the news are from outside of my domain, I try to read up and see why exactly they are good and what their impact is. No notes!

I enjoy having "good news" to talk about in my circles. I have something positive to say and every time I read ad an article, it really does give me a bit of serenity and hopefulness about our world. Also, they release articles only three times per week, so I always have enough time to read the articles and not get overloaded. Only constructive comment - sometimes I click on an article but it's by a subscription only news source so I cannot read. Thanks for a great app otherwise!

The app, as far as I can tell, curates news from other sites. Story previews are shown and to read the full story you are transferred to the site that published the story. The various publishers have differing rules regarding free access to their work. (Some limit the number of stories one may read and they all have their own privacy/tracking policies) That said, I'm satisfied with this app. Also, remember 'good' is a subjective term. I just skip over the controversial topics.
