About this app

The duck app costs €1.99. Children can use it to independently and intuitively learn to read short sentences. The prerequisite for learning is reading individual words. After downloading, an annual license can be purchased for one device (in-app purchase). The app can then be used offline.

- The app is divided into 15 reading levels.
- It progresses in a differentiated manner, taking into account the task solutions.
- The requirements increase from level to level with the skills acquired.
- The children read individual words at the beginning. Then the reading of sentences is practiced successively and systematically.
- Designed taking into account the curricula of all federal states and Austria.
- The app can be adjusted in the "Settings" menu. The following settings are possible:
a) Display all words in syllable structure
b) Display all syllables and words with capital letters only
c) Switch off the audition function of the terms
-In the settings, the learning activity can also be evaluated.
-Due to the intuitive operation and the option to have terms spoken to you, the app is also suitable for children with little knowledge of German.
-In Germany, the German school script is used. The school handbook from Austria is automatically displayed on devices in Austria.
-The font size can be adjusted in the device settings of the smartphone or tablet.
-Please note that this is an annual license and that the app can only be used on one device at a time. If you hand over the device, it becomes unusable or you delete the app, the app would have to be purchased again.
-The Ducks app is available on Google Play and the App Store for smartphones and tablets.

Meine Jungs haben schon mit den Heften gelernt. Nun kommt unsere Kleinste zur Schule und auch sie liebt die Hefte. Die App ist sogar noch besser, weil sie die Wörter vorgesprochen bekommt und sofort ein Feedback bekommt. Ich hoffe, die weiterführenden Hefte bekommen auch noch eine App.
