We are very pleased to welcome you, together with the board and advisory board, to the 44th annual congress of the German Society for Senology e.V.
to invite you to the International Congress Center in the beautiful city of Stuttgart from June 26th to June 28th, 2025.
Our congress has the motto “Competence – Cooperation – Innovation”
Senology made an early contribution to improving the quality of care for patients through center formation, certification, quality controls and guidelines. Competence was bundled and expanded in an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral manner.
In this way, evidence-based and patient-centered diagnostic procedures and treatment concepts can achieve the best possible chances of recovery while largely preserving quality of life.
To achieve this goal, the different professions and specialist disciplines work together in close cooperation in an excellent manner. From screening to palliation, from histopathology to molecular genetics, from surgical therapy to systemic therapy, from radiation to reconstruction, treatment concepts are implemented jointly and individually. This requires not only mutual trust between the treatment partners, but also high-quality shared know-how about contemporary therapy standards.
In this context, the DGS Annual Congress offers a platform to critically discuss the latest international innovations as well as to present our own scientific data. A basic session is also offered in which the specialist disciplines involved offer an overview for newcomers to senology. In addition, the main innovations of the newly updated S3 guidelines for early detection, diagnosis, therapy and aftercare of breast cancer are presented.
Senology is a highly active scientific field; innovations in diagnostics and therapy guarantee our constant development. However, the political, structural and health economic framework conditions for our actions are also changing, which also requires joint organizational and professional efforts. Recruitment, outpatient care, hospital reform, AI and big data are just a few keywords that we would like to take up for discussion. Every change can always offer opportunities to not only continue to treat our patients well, but also to treat them even better in the future.
We are already looking forward to exciting lectures, passionate discussions and intensive personal exchange.
