Well, this is just the first impression, I didn't try to use it in the real life yet, just planning my weekend-trip. But there are already 3 things that I'd like to highlight: 1. I didn't find the way to change Imperial units to Metric. Probably it's very simple, but definitely not intuitive; 2. Legend of the map. Would be good to find an information about "this strange line"; 3. An option of choosing "cycling routes if possible" supply must be. For now only 3 stars. After the upcoming weekend I'll probably say a bit more.
I've only just started using this app with my girlfriend but I can see huge potential! The way that it breaks down the route is really intuitive and highly informative. No bugs/errors have been noticed so far on my end either. The map itself is a bit annoying because I'm unable to rotate it to orient it based on the direction I'm going in. That's my only real complaint!
This app is very difficult to use. I'm using it to explore new trails and the search has to be very precise. Many trailheads are not marked in the map and planning a trip using this app is very difficult. There is no integration with Google maps and so I have to navigate back and forth. It really is a poorly developed app. All Trails really puts it to shame. I'm really pissed at myself for relying on thie "Editor's Pick" recommendation and paying for the global map. UPDATE: After further use, I am just getting more frustrated with this app. It really is quite useless. It's almost impossible to investigate new trails. Once at a trail, unless you planned to be there, you'd better have internet access. Otherwise, you have no downloaded maps for that trail. This app really sucks. I'm sorry to the developers who try to make this app useful, it's just not useful for hikers trying to plan a hike in the backcountry.
After trying a dozzine of navigation apps I have to say that this is the most feature full for bicycle touring. The only negative side is that it seems there is no way for not tracking the route while navigating and it forces you to deactivate the power saving, which is really a problem for a long distance traveler by bicycle or walk.
Really great app to discover new trails and sights wherever you are. You get one region for free and can buy more at ease. I really enjoyed it and the experience it provides
Works quite well, but stopped tracking my route towards the end. That's the only problem I found. :)
