Sit back and get your money back
LateBack enables you to get your money back easily and uncomplicated for delayed buses and trains from various transport associations and Deutsche Bahn.
What are the benefits of LateBack?
With LateBack we would like to help mediate between the transport associations and the passengers. We would like to alleviate the frustration of the delay a little bit by simplifying the reimbursement process significantly and also offering it on the move, so that all passengers can more easily get what is offered to them: a proportional reimbursement of the fare.
How does LateBack work?
LateBack transmits your data simply and easily to the RMV, HVV or Deutsche Bahn and thus helps you to get your money reimbursed in the event of delays.
The individual steps:
1. Create your profile
2. Create a new application
3. Select the connection that was delayed
4. Select the travel ticket that you used
5. Submit the application
6. Wait for the response from the transport association
For local transport: As soon as the HVV or RMV has approved your application, we will notify you. You can then collect your reimbursement amount in cash from a transport association's payment office. Of course, you don't have to do this immediately, you have 3 months to do it.
For long-distance applications for Deutsche Bahn, the process is as follows: We will send your application and it will be checked by Deutsche Bahn. As soon as the application is approved, you will receive the reimbursement directly from DB to your account.
LateBack is completely free!
For which associations can I submit an application via LateBack?
- RMV (Rhine-Main area / Hesse)
- HVV (Hamburg and surroundings)
