With this new app, the stations of the Caspar David Friedrich image trail are expanded multimedia using augmented reality technology (AR). With the help of his smartphone, the Greifswald painter appears as a living video hologram at the 15 picture path stations - and of course his wife Line, who has a lot of interesting things to say about Friedrich's work and his life in Greifswald.

In addition, the app contains numerous of his pictures, sketches, notes, his life stages, as well as video statements on the influence of his life's work on today.

Browse through Friedrich's historical-fictional chat histories and discover his private and business social network at the time. Follow his wife Line's stories and little anecdotes with excitement as you look over Friedrich's shoulder as he sketches his favorite Greifswald motifs.
