The MINI App is only supported by vehicles that were built after March 2018 and have the MINI Connected Services optional equipment in combination with a compatible smartphone. The Remote Services optional equipment is required for an optimum app experience. The availability of app functions may vary from country to country.

Ratings and reviews

After so many year there is still no android auto app for Mini. can't understand why you insist only on iphone carplay app, when iphones are less than 15% of global mobile market. BMW new models have android auto. Should be added into Minis as well. The app takes too much time when you send an operation to the car, takes more than 30seconds to do it. Driving profiles shall be available from the app as well. Would be much easier than trying to modify them from the touch screen.

Awful. Doesn't do what you ask it to. Tell it to charge immediately, it doesn't. It keeps overriding what I say and puts some random time the following day to charge up. Set the warm up for departure time but it loses this as well, especially when it's been on charge. App is very slow to respond. Try to turn the climatisation for departure off as no plans to go anywhere for a few days and it tells me I must put one in!!!! Very frustrating!!!! It also puts random times in on its own 😠😡

Jan 25 - just gets worse! Overwrote the settings for a pre-conditioned departure for no reason whatsoever. Still doesn't work with Octopus. Has recently (Oct 24) lost all charging history. Used to work well with Octopus EV overnight charging, but not anymore. Not the quality I expected. Doesn't connect quickly or reliably. Useful but not user friendly. Easier to check settings in the car itself! August 2022 - has recently become unreliable in storing charging data.
