About this app

Find your bike, get on it, and start cycling immediately - around the clock, with your smartphone! All you need is the nextbike by TIER app. It simplifies rentals, returns, and always shows you bikes near you.

To rent, simply select the bike, scan the QR code or enter the bike number - and off you go! You can return your bike at one of our stations or in the flexzone. The map function in the app helps you to find the right return location. With our app you have everything at a glance: manage your customer account, redeem vouchers, discover news, give feedback or contact our customer service.

The app can be used for all nextbike brands. Once registered, you can also ride in other brands. From now on, TIER vehicles will also be displayed in selected cities on the nextbike by TIER app. You can rent these vehicles via a deep link in the TIER app.

Once you register in your favorite city, you can ride a bike in all the other cities, too like e.g. Styr & Ställ in Gothenburg, City Bike Linz, or Arriva bike.

Most of the time, you can eventually get a bike rented. You may even be able to return it, although you'll often be charged a fee for no reason and have to call to get it fixed. The app crashes, the QR reader doesn't work 80% of the time even in perfect light conditions, and it often shows bikes that simply aren't there. Pair that with the super poorly maintained bikes, and you have a perfect headache for anyone who tries to use it. I've had three broken bikes in a row, and when you realize and try to swap it out, you get charged a fee.

Hello, we're sorry that you had problems with the rental and with the app. We are constantly working on improving the app and fixing problems. In every city there are also service teams who maintain the bikes. If you see a faulty bike, you are very welcome to pass this on to our customer service, which is also available 24/7.jr

I like the rental bike and the customer support. However, the location of returning somehow not accurate. I don't know why but it happens to me severt time. I originally thought it's my mistake then I make sure I checked and return in blue area. Unfortunately, this didn't work which they suddenly charged me 20€ which I returned in a old place I have already returned before. It's very confusing and disturbing. The problem is still not solved even the customer support replied. lol

Price is low and good. However, it shows bikes in the map that doesn't actually exist, so I don't trust it's map. Apparently, I parked my first bike in a place that is not free, so the app gave me a notification that if I do that again they will change me. I don't know why it didn't warn when I ended the ride.
