Seriously, this is objectively the best keyboard app on android. I feel like i can actually text and write messages on my phone now! It's definitely not perfect, but compared to a touchscreen keyboard this is a godsend. If you don't get back into developing this please think about releasing the code, there are not enough apps like this.
Telnet Client problem It says Android is listening to 192.168.0.100 and port 2323 .. i dont know how to connect the laptop to mobile using telnet client... i turned on the telnet client on the laptop but im unable to progress further..someone please help me on this..give me exact details on what should i do..
No good for non geeks I think you need to be a geek to understand this. Poor explanation of how to set up on PC. After spending 30 mins googleing and figuring it out it now it won't connect to the server anyway.
Yes, it's a rather geeky app and you need to have a telnet client, such as the command line one Windows comes with that you can get in "Turn Windows features on or off", or PuTTY. But once you connect to it, it's very straightforward to use. Just type into the terminal window and your keystrokes appear instantly on the Android device. If you can't figure out telnet, there's another remote keyboard app out there that uses a web interface, but you still need to enter some numbers in a browser to connect. (Or buy a bluetooth keyboard, it's simpler still.) I prefer this one because I like the simplicity of telnet and like the "send to PC" button at the bottom right of the phone screen, to send whatever's in the text box to the PC. It's a great way to get URLs out to a PC (or send a bunch of text up to be processed with a regex and then pasted back to the phone) while you're using Remote Keyboard. Manual ROT-13 encryption is a strange feature to include, but alright I guess. I'd really prefer if there were an option to have real encryption, either with telnet over SSL (if the user can puzzle out how to create such a connection), or even better, SSH.
Thanks for this app! Good job! However, average app. Special keys didn't work except for CTRL+Q (Back). Switching focus with arrow keys works acceptably, but still it lacks support of "send" button. Otherwise it not handy to use it with messengers. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it work on my phone (androind 5.5, xiaomi redmi note 2) with Viber messenger. The connection is also very unstable and after a connection is dropped nothing helps to bring it up but restarting the app. This app is a good demo, but makes me nervous. Anyway, it was fun tonight. Thanks to author.
Great Job, A little bit confusing for a newbie, but hey.. there is nothing that google cannot solve. infact. I'm typing this through this app. right now. Loving it so much
Added TextFiction as option to test the connection
