About this app

With the wetter.de app, you always have the perfect weather forecast at your fingertips! Expect great features all about the weather.

Want to know what the weather will be like? Is it worth firing up the grill? Summery swimming weather or perfect powder snow? Do you need an umbrella? What will the temperature be, and how warm should you dress? So many questions! Our weather app has the answers. You get hourly weather forecasts for every location worldwide! This way, you know exactly what to expect and are perfectly prepared for any weather.

Still not enough? No problem: Check out the weather forecast for the entire world in the 15-day outlook. This helps you plan what to pack for your vacation and be ready for anything. And while you're there – whether the rain suggests a museum visit or the sunshine calls for historical sightseeing, we'll tell you.

Even if the weather is bad, we'll keep you informed. Our weather app shows you daily, hourly forecasts of severe weather, heavy rain, or snow. This way, you'll always know when to park your car in the garage. Our weather and rain radar tells you exactly when you need to pack an umbrella. To keep you up-to-date, our push notifications will keep you informed. Whether it's relevant heat and UV warnings or severe weather alerts, we'll notify you the way you want.

You can place widgets with the most important weather information directly on your home screen. From rain radar and sunrise/sunset times to a countdown widget for your most important event, you'll have the information you need right at your fingertips.

Our weather app offers even more customizable features and weather information. In the Leisure section, you can display weather information relevant to your activities. Planning a barbecue or a swim? Do you enjoy hiking? Place your most important leisure widgets in the Leisure section. There, you'll also find comprehensive, weather-related health information. Are you plagued by allergies? Keep an eye on the pollen count. And if you have trouble sleeping during a full moon: Our weather app shows you the current moon phase.

Do you wear a smartwatch? Fantastic, because you can also view the wetter.de app there. We also offer our weather service for Wear OS, where you can view all the important weather events without having to take your smartphone out of your pocket. You'll see the daily high temperatures, as well as the amount and probability of rain. Our popular meteogram with the weekly overview is also available. You can even add complications (similar to our home screen widgets). These will then show you the current and perceived temperature, as well as the maximum and minimum temperatures. The moon phases are also displayed. You'll learn the sunrise and sunset times and always know the UV index. If it's raining, you can also stay informed if you wish: you can view the amount of precipitation and the probability of rain.

Ratings and reviews

Of all the weather apps that I tried out this one is the best in giving me accurate information with a easy readable layout.

Decent weather app with good radar forecast. Unfortunately it became unusable due to ads now popping up every time the radar is opened. Switched to another app because of it. Yes, I'm aware there is a premium subscription. But I'm certainly not going to pay a subscription for a mediocre app with such an approach to ads. One time purchase option for 2-3€ would've been acceptable.

Does what it promises. The only gripe I do have is that when you open the app with activated location services it deletes saved favourites of whatever area you're in. Example: Cologne is saved as a favourite. I forgot to deactivate location services after using Google Maps for navigation. I open wetter.de, the app shows me the weather for Cologne but deletes the city as a favourite.
