About this app

Never miss a visitor again–no matter where you are. With the Siedle App, your Android Device becomes the mobile extension of your door intercom. Watch who's at the door, speak to them, and open the door–wherever you are. The connection is securely established via Wi-Fi or mobile network. New: You can now open your door directly from the home screen with the smart widget function–no need to open the app.



With the Siedle App, you have control over your door communication:

  • Complete communication: Make video or audio calls, turn on the light or open the door.

  • Smart features: Use the hands-free function and manage multiple locations, even with different Siedle systems. With access to the system image storage, you always know who rang. The video feed is available even before you answer the call.

  • Personalized: Adjust the volume during the call and use original Siedle ringtones.


The app is the perfect complement to your existing door intercom system, keeping you connected–at home and on the go.



System Information and Notes

  • Service: Our Siedle app service offers around 95% availability. You'll be notified directly in the app about maintenance or disruptions.

  • Requirements: The app requires an active internet connection and is compatible with various Siedle systems, including Siedle IQ, Smart Gateway, Siedle Access Professional, and Siedle home telephones.

  • Note on mobile use: The app transmits audio signals over the data channel (VoIP) of your mobile network. Connection quality depends on your mobile provider and network coverage. Costs may apply depending on your tariff.

  • Push Notifications: For reliable notifications, the app uses the Apple Push service. We cannot influence the quality of this service.

  • Video quality: The frame rate adjusts dynamically to the available bandwidth: from 2 MBit/s: approx. 5 frames/second, from 4 MBit/s: approx. 10 frames/second.

This was a very difficult system to get up and running. First my electrician had to come out and update the gateway. Then the ap didnt want to connect. Three hours later it finally worked. This was not user friendly and the most complicated smart home device I have. The app only saves one picture of who rang the bell. It doesnt save the video or give an option of downloading it. There are much more expansive, easier to setup and lower cost Video doorbells on the market.

There has been no effort put into developing the app. Its a prototype app developed by a 15 year old kid being sold with an expensive system. Suddenly stops getting notifications whenever someone rings the doorbell, need to reboot the gateway. I have missed several people due to this. Unable to silence the notifications by pressing the silence button on the phone. Always rings 3 times - why? Cannot set my own ringtone. Cannot directly unlock the door by tapping on the notification.

Never had any issues with the functionality, but at our office we have 3 users with siedle installed. If one of us picks up the call the 2 others will keep getting notifications until they either open the call or swipe away the notification. Would be nice if they could sync up and stop sending notifications once the call has been answered :)
