About this app

Clubhafen is the app for sailing clubs: events, news, club boats, berths, crane, volunteer shifts and training in one place. On first launch you choose your club – the app then shows its content, and you sign in with your club account.

YOU NEED A CLUB THAT USES CLUBHAFEN
Content and accounts come from your club. Your club invites you, or you activate your account yourself with the email address your club has on file. Public content such as events and news is available without signing in.

TRY IT WITHOUT SIGNING IN
"Segelclub Musterhafen" is a fictional demo club with every feature switched on. On first launch, tap "Try the sample club" – without an account, as a member or as an admin. Whatever you change there is visible only to you, and the demo club starts fresh every night.

FOR MEMBERS
• Weather for your sailing area from the German Weather Service, plus the club's own weather station and webcams where available
• Events and news – sign up with a tap and add dates to your calendar
• Book club boats – availability calendar, add your crew, check the boat back in with photos
• Berths and winter storage, waiting list with your position, book your crane slot
• Volunteer shifts and work hours – sign up for shifts, keep track of your hours
• Training and youth sailing – confirm or decline, as a parent also for your children
• Courses with places and waiting list, requests for the clubhouse
• Club gallery, documents, notice board and inbox
• Digital membership card and drinks tally
• Report damage – to a boat, the jetty or the clubhouse
• Choose which sections appear in your tab bar

FOR THE BOARD AND OFFICERS
Club officers can do a lot right in the app: write news and events, edit the youth, regatta and course pages, send messages to members, approve bookings, confirm work hours, manage gallery and documents, run crane days, berths and the clubhouse. Everything else is done in the web-based admin tool.

EVERY CLUB DECIDES FOR ITSELF
Your club chooses which features you see and what is visible to members only. The app shows the club's colours, logo and content. Online payment, for example for boat hire, courses or drinks, is only available if your club offers it; the money goes directly to the club.

PRIVACY
No analytics or tracking tools. The app talks to your club's server in Germany over an encrypted connection. Members-only content is not stored permanently on your phone. Under More > Settings > My account you can download your data or delete your access.

LANGUAGE
The app is available in German and English. Content written by your club is usually in German.
