PowerPing – Instant SMS Alerts in Case of Power Outages

PowerPing monitors the power status of an Android device with a SIM card and automatically sends SMS alerts as soon as a power outage is detected.

The app detects the switch from mains power to battery operation and immediately sends SMS alerts to pre-defined contacts. Optionally, an all-clear SMS can be sent automatically after power is restored.
