About this app

The MVG Fahrinfo München app offers everything that public transport users in and around Munich need to get from A to B. You can use the app to quickly plan a journey and buy the right ticket.

OUR TIPS

💡 Easy address searchOne or two syllables of the street name + house number are sufficient, e.g. “Kuni 72” for “Kunigundenstrasse 72, Munich”.

💡 Abbreviations“MUC” = Munich Airport, “Hbf” = Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), “OEZ” = Olympia Shopping Centre (Olympiaeinkaufszentrum).

💡 In the event of unusual results, reset settings
Settings icon top right ➔ “Settings” ➔ “Reset” (next to the “?”)

💡 Where is stop position 4?Tap on the stop name in the journey details/departures and load the plan of the stop. The number tells you from which point exactly your line departs.
Note: available for all underground stations and for stops with multiple stopping points.

💡 Show footpath on the map:simply tap on the footpath symbol to the stop or your destination in the journey details.

💡 Buy a required add-on ticket:
Save the tariff zones of your season ticket under “Settings“ ➔ “My Zones“.

💡 Explain functions :By tapping on the “?” in the bar on the top right, additional information on the optimal use of the app can be found.

Ratings and reviews

Can't add credit card as payment options anymore. I have tried at least 10 times on wife's phone and through browser. Fehlercode: N:75:Error counter expired The app does not always have the updated information on the train timings.

Unreliable. It worked fine for some time, then at some point there was a change in payment processing company. After that, not very reliable. My attempts to buy a ticket would be declined, and I had to send emails to request payment and identity verification etc. After that it again worked a while. After coming back from vacation, same story. Added SEPA, card payment etc, it all checks out and accepted. When I try to buy a ticket, again declined/suspended. Enough for me. App deleted.

1. Basic information such as intermediate stops are missing. 2. Though there exists routes involving trams and ubahn, the app simply does not show it (and trams are checked in my settings). It has happened multiple times, on multiple routes. 3. In case of a change at a stop, it doesn't indicate if the bus stops are at different locations. That it involves walking from one bus stop to another, it should notify that. The proposed route does not remain viable if one involves the time for walking.
