● If you subscribe (Tagesspiegel Plus and the digital newspaper) via the Google Play Store (in-app subscription), it will automatically renew for the term you selected.

● You can deactivate automatic renewal at any time up to 24 hours before the end of the subscription period. To do this, select Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions in your Google Play account menu on your smartphone or tablet. Then tap on your subscription and then on "Cancel subscription" to deactivate automatic renewal.

Ratings and reviews

Since the latest update, the app wants me to either: a) agree to be tracked by some 200 random ad providers; or b) pay TS €3,99 per month - on top of the subscription I already pay Tagesspiegel to access their digital paper and TS+. This level of greed is going beyond funny. I hope this is a bug, and you are not actually trying to double-charge your own subscribers. Because if it isn't, and the next update doesn't fix it, I will simply have to cancel the subscription.

This is by far the worst news app I've ever seen! All it is constant cookie notifications, popups, spam emails, reminders to subscribe even though I was already subscribed!

(June 2021)So glad I stumbled across Tagesspiegel. It's right at the top of the European newspaper tree. Its in-depth analysis is clear and well-presented. Priceless during the pandemic. (26 Aug 2021): it just gets better. A lot of info and perspectives I have not seen elsewhere. My German is improving...(28/11/21) they keep asking me to evaluate the ap. My opinion has not changed! Ads experience? Totally unobtrusive.
