Ratings and reviews

So so - somewhat easy, just like for other software or apps, though the Lohnsteuer scan didn't work well. No real explanations so I had to Google to not guess. Overall, not very transparent and I had to search for the actual return. App made a mistake on the return (applied deductible for married couples instead of single, though I entered it correctly). If you speak German, there are better apps that are more clear and easier to use. The customer service is courteous and helpful though.

I've used Taxfix appast year and my user experience was great. Now app is terrible, after answering each question it takes the app at least 3-4 min to save my answer and go to the next question. This means that filling in one section of questions takes 30-40 minutes. And last stage with personal data gathering simply doesn't work. Extremely disappointed.

Worst service. I've uploaded my documents five times, and each time a day after they were rejected with the reason, "The documents you have provided are blurred or partially unreadable." Even when I used a scanner the last time, I still received this message. The user experience is terrible; they force you to use mobile instead of desktop, and there is no support available. All they have is an auto-reply email that suggests related links similar to your problem.

What's new

Nobody likes to wait, even if the next train is coming in two minutes. In our latest update, we have taken care to reduce the loading time. And even though there’s still a little bit of room for improvement (we continue working on it), you can now complete and submit your tax return more smoothly.
