The Tutanota email app asks for very few permissions to keep your level of privacy to a maximum:

- Full network access: Used to send and receive emails.
- Receive data from the internet: To notify you when you receive a new mail.
- View network connections: To find out if an internet connection exists.
- Read your contacts: This enables you to select recipients from your phone's contacts.
- Read from SD card: To allow adding of attachments from the SD card to emails.
- Control vibration: To notify you when you receive a new email.
- Deactivate sleeping mode: To notify you when you receive a new email.

Ratings and reviews

New email notifications stop working after a while. I have to turn the apps notifications off and back on to get them working again. Notifications are still in 24h instead of 12h. The zoom capabilities are poor. I have to double tap to zoom but it barely zooms. This is a problem because QR codes or any scannable barcodes are to small to be scanned.

Like the security and ability to encrypt, but I wish there were a way to tag as phishing or spam without having to open the email. Also, about 50% of the time I don't get emails with attachments from my friends, so I still have to use my old Google email account (& I hate Google). My privacy is important to me (I don't use Google or similar as a search engine, either). Tutanota is good, but far from perfect.

Love your email services. However your phone app needs work. It freezes a lot. It keeps refreshing while typing causing typing errors. When deleting emails it doesn't respond and has to be restarted and deleted again. It doesn't update to show sent and recieved emails quickly. There is a lag. Still overall I think your email services are fantastic and the best for encrypted services. The app needs a little work.
