Didn't work, then randomly started working! The description of this app is exactly what i'm looking for but so far no dice. Won't work either way. Both devices connected to same WiFi. With either device running as server, the other just keeps searching but never finds the server. toro (VZW Galaxy Nexus) running 4.2.1 grouper (WiFi Nexus 7) running 4.2.2 (stock, unrooted). Have an e-mail in to the developer. I hope I can get this working. EDIT: Randomly after an hour of searching for server, it has connected. Upgraded to 4 stars.
Please add a manual discovery option I installed the server, and tried connecting from two different devices; neither of them were able to discover the server. However, I can use the web interface without issues. Any chance we could get an option to manually add the server using the ip in the native client?
Regul Does what I was looking for, but only in the wrong direction. Downloaded it to control my Nexus 7 from my Nexus 4, but only works in the opposite direction. The Nexus 4 just won't find the server running on my Nexus 7. This app got potential, if you are able to fix my issue and enable browsing the artists/albums it will be awesome.
Excellent This app is just what I was looking for. Installed it on my GS3 and an old, chronically useless, HTC Evo. Started it up on the Evo, had a server set up in seconds. Started it up on GS3 and connected immediately. Started google music and playback controls respond with no lag over wifi. Well done, dev!
Kind of works Works but is very basic. No playlist management or search functions from within the app and can be very clunky when trying to switch tunes. Uninstalled. It seems to me that it must be hard to implement a decent remote for Play Music as every single remote app I've tried has left a lot to be desired.
Going in good direction! I also find this application very useful, even if it only helps in skipping/pausing music by now. Would be nice to have more options for taking advantage of old unused phones. I also had to disable Apollo for this app to work with Play Music (Google All Music). Using currently OPO + Samsung Galaxy S2.
