With the Saarland university app, the campus stays in your pocket.
All the key information and services relating to your studies or your workplace are brough together in a single app.
The UdS app offers an intuitive user interface, personalised functions and a host of practical features to support you in everyday university life.
Organise your university life efficiently:
Keep an eye on the latest cafeteria menu, stay up to date with university news and find your way around at any time thanks to the interactive campus map.
Tested and certified:
The UdS app has been awarded the "Geprüfte App" seal from TÜV Saarland Solutions GmbH. The certification confirms compliance with high standards in data protection, IT security, and usability, including in accordance with BSI IT-Grundschutz and ISO/IEC 27001.
Continuous development:
The app is continuously being developed to provide new features and improve existing ones - based on your feedback and the demands of everyday university life.
Whether in German, English or French, the app is tailored to your needs and reliably guides you through your studies and time at the university.
By the university, for the university.
The app includes the official Saarland university step counting competition (Schritte Challenge). With your consent, the app reads your daily step count via Health Connect on Android or Apple Health on iOS, shows it in your dashboard, and adds it to your team's and the university's leaderboards. The competition takes place once a year in spring. Step data is processed only for participation in the competition and is not shared with third parties. You can revoke Health Connect or Apple Health permissions at any time in your device settings.
MODUS – Mobility Data for Saarland University
The app includes MODUS, a feature for collecting mobility data for research purposes. With your explicit consent, the app collects mobility data in the background: location points, the mode of transport (on foot, by bike, by car, public transport) and the time of your journeys, even when the app is closed. You will be assigned a random identifier that is not linked to your identity at the university; names, telephone numbers or content are not recorded. The data is used exclusively for the university’s mobility research and is not passed on to third parties. Participation is voluntary, and you can opt out at any time via the app.
