Very convenient reference I refer to the Wine Dictionary quite often, usually while "on the go". It is very convenient. It usually provides what I need to know. There have been some occasions when it didn't, such as when researching an obscure grape variety, but wine is a vast field of things to know so no app is going to have it all. I like it.
Wine Dictionary A good source for a wide range of information about all things "wine." I wish it went into more depth on some of its descriptions and have run into a couple of terms it didn't have, but an excellent app overall.
Definitely very helpful! For those learning wines, exploring, trying to put what you taste and smell into two or three words... This is the app! Or if you are wondering what pretentious description to give a wine in front of your know-it-all friend... Well, again, this is the app!
Great app Love this app! I'm a mixologist, so having this as a reference is perfect for when I get a little befuddled describing a wine. It is also a great help while I study for my WSET classes and Sommelier course.
Falls short You can find grapes found in Bordeaux wines, but not Rhone wines? Seems natural that there should be that information for the most well known wine areas. Also does not give the grapes found in a white Bordeaux. App just seems to fall short in many areas. But maybe we cannot expect some basics in a small app. :(
Sexy App Is it possible to rate an app as sexy? Look out wine snobs, I am armed (with wine words) and dangerous! Cheers!
