The Direct Energy App: Energy in the Palm of Your Hand

The Direct Energy App is a convenient all-access pass to your Direct Energy account. The Direct Energy App makes it easy to manage your account from your fingertips. You’ll be able to pay your bill, refer your friends, review your plan information and more!

GETTING STARTED IS SIMPLE:
1. Download the App. It’s free!
2. Log in with the same username and password as your Direct Energy Online Account Manager.
3. Activate PIN or biometric authentication for easier and more secure access.
4. Once you’re logged in, start exploring all the app has to offer.

MANAGE YOUR ACCOUNT:
• PAY YOUR BILL: Schedule bill payments from your credit card or bank account, set up Auto Pay so you don't have to worry about on-time payments, set up paperless billing on your account, or pay directly through the app!
• MONITOR ENERGY USAGE: Analyze your energy usage to make informed decisions that can help you use less energy. Smart meter customers can view daily, monthly, weekly and yearly usage, and non-smart meter customers can view monthly usage.
• SWITCH BETWEEN MULTIPLE ADDRESSES AND ACCOUNTS: If you have multiple service locations, it's now easier than ever to access them all. With a single login, you'll be able to switch between all the service locations in your account.
• PAST BILLS AND PAYMENTS: Get a convenient view of past payments and your billing history.
• PLAN INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS: View your plan information and supporting documents.
• REFER-A-FRIEND: Get a $50 bill credit for every friend you refer who becomes a Direct Energy customer & your friends get a $50 bill credit, too. Just share your unique Referral ID or your referral link to start earning.
• CONTACT US: The Direct Energy App puts you in direct contact with our friendly customer care agents via chat, email or phone. We’re happy to help with any questions or concerns you may have.

I've been a customer with direct energy for 4 years now. Everything was always great (the customer service, the app, the navigation of the web page even choosing an energy option) until they got hacked maybe 1 to 2 years ago. Ever since, seems like they change and update the app every week. Also, one day it's working and 5 seconds later its not. I've had trouble logging in since the mishap. You'd think if the app is down you can just go online to sign in, well you'd be wrong!

Hey Murphy, to help determine whether it's an issue with your log in credentials or the app, we recommend attempting to log in to your Online Account Manager via a web browser. I'm glad the app is finally out but I'm not happy with it showing data that is not consistent with the website. Case in point, the website shows I have one account, which is correct since I paid off and closed my old one. The app shows two accounts with my old one showing a past due balance since March. What the hell?! Please fix this.

There are too many bugs in the app. I'm unable to input my home information to better calculate the average cost. Anytime I attempt to add or change any information it freezes then crashes leaving me to login again and start all over. I wish it had the capabilities shown in the app store.

What's new

Customers can now use the app to transfer their service, including to new service areas. Select a plan, schedule move dates, and complete the transfer within the application!
