DON'T Buy! The app called CopyMeThat is much better app than Food Planner. I have been trying to communicate with this company but seems that this company is to busy and does not follow through with their commitment. Surprisingly it a nice app but seems to small of a company to offer great customer service to communicate with their customers. With a million downloads it seems that if they charge only a dollar that would bring in over a million dollars to hire the amount of people to take care of their customers and bring more features out. If people are not willing to pay a dollar
Good App and does everything, I mainly use it for the food planner and recipe manager HOWEVER the grocery list is really frustrating and not a very use friendly interface. I am trying to consolidate the ingredients, planning and recipes in 1 app but I might have to go back to ourgroceries or outofmilk as they both have a widget you can easily and quickly add grocery items on. The widgets for food planner both have the same logo and are only a shortcut which is almost pointless. Really needs a refresh and some improvements.
Brilliant app! - my most used app. All issues associated with change of ownership seem to now be fixed. Program now syncs more quickly between devices. We plan our meals for the week and shop once a week. Saves us money, no food wastage. Bonus, if hubbie home before me he has the recipe on food planner, all the ingredients in fridge and starts cooking!
I use this app all the time and all my regular recipes are saved in it. Very handy while shopping. And there are some things that bug me; for example, if I'm in the recipes list and want to add my own recipe - it just adds the title to the list, usually out of sight so I have to search for it, and only then can I add the detail! I know there is another route for adding recipes but still. Also when I name a saved weekly plan, I can't see my other plan names, which I like to number and name by season.
This app was great I loved having the menu planner and recipe index at my fingertips.Saved menus made it easy to plan weeks when life was too crazy to plan a menu. Then I got a new phone. I couldn't log in to my account, and the reset password feature didn't work. I had 3 years of recipes and menu plans loaded on it. I tried to contact support via my laptop with no response. I reinstalled it, but the recipe loader is so slow, I am about to go back to paper and pencil.
The developer has seemingly abandoned this app. The ability to log in has been gone for months. The developer has stopped posting updates on their Facebook page and is no longer responding to their emails. update: As of 2/26 they removed their Facebook page, where users were trying to share how to get their recipe data out of this app and discussing possible alternative apps. Check out Recipe Keeper - I found that it does everything this app does but better. Also, it currently works, and their developer responds to support requests.
