No weather This widget nice. It would be better if it's gps worked. It won't give me the weather of the location I'm in as I travel.
Nice, but update every 12 hours? This looks really nice, my only concern is the update frequency of the weather. I know it will eat battery but I still want to be able to select updates every 5, 15, 30 minutes and every 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12 and 24 hours. Maybe complaints regarding GPS not working really is due to user not realising that it will update only twice a day? Seems adding these options should not be too big a change?
No more scrollable headlines? I've used this widget for years, always with the label disabled and a list of headlines displayed that I could scroll through, a vertical rolling scroll. I could touch a headline to read that story. Earlier today I accidentally removed the widget from my home screen as I was rearranging things. I added it back and now only one headline displays at a time, and if I touch it to read it, the next headline displays. To read a story I have to display the label pane and click that. Not at all as user friendly.
Very nice Lucked into finding this.... I LOVE IT!! I have managed to set it up and make it work quite easily... not something that happens regularly. I have a smart phone, but am a dumb operator. Thank you for a simple to use, does what it says, idiot-proof clock and so much more widget!!!!!
classy! its a fab app no doubt! but there are some drawbaks! 1.the two widgets overlap each other if i want separate news/time/date widget both if placed near over laps it looks untidy 2.there should be more news channels other than bbc 3.it should have regular intervel of weather updates (1hr or 3hr.. etc) it has very clumsy auto update option of twice a day and once a day 4.and if the widget can be more attractive then its worth buying.. i hope to see this consideration in ur next update
No link to the story? You mean its just the headline?? Haha what?? Never known a news app to be just the headline and/or a line of content that's ridiculous!
I removed the 'OK' button in the preferences. Now you wont lose all you changes if you press 'back' one time too many by mistake. Instead, any changes made to the preferences automatically take effect when you leave the preference screen.
Also, I made some further tinkering with the weather provider. I never had this much problems with the old Google weather service.
