Just what I was looking for! I have a lot of camera, drawing, audio recording/editing apps on my phone and it is a major pain to keep consolidating the media and exported files collectively and manually! This app keeps my system lean, clean and organized. Very extensive options. For anyone with an android mobile equipped with an external SD card, this app is a must! Great job. One suggestion? I have a couple apps that save output files to new, uniquely names subfolders under one main folder. It would be awesome if there was an option to 'collect' and redirect files contained in subfolders to a single target folder without creating copies of the subs.
I use this app to sync my Calibre epub library to my tablet. It works beautifully. I sync a few other items as well. The interface can be a little confusing at times. But the app is very powerful and I am not sure if there is an easier way to display everything. I only use manual sync at this time but I can think of reasons why I would need and want scheduled and instant syncs which this app can do as well.
After the shutdown of Ubuntu One, I couldn't find a good cloud storage service which synced pictures as good as it. Then I came across Folder Sync. Works perfect for me. If only it could more efficiently manage remote data like copying & moving files between different cloud storage services, it would had been awesome.
Great utility app. I sync folders stored locally to Box, Dropbox, and Drive. Works very well. I had some issues with syncing to the external SD card after upgrading to LineageOS 14.1, but the internal storage is enough for me, so I got rid of the SD card. If you prefer to have local control over your data, this app is wonderful!
Has become unreliable. Seldom detects that WiFi has connected to an AP and requires "use other connections" to work at all. SMB (Windows) transfer rates top out at 8 kb/sec (!!!!), precluding using it for large jobs unless you want to have it sync for days.
A process for migrating from the lite version to the full version (keeping all the settings) is desperately needed, and the power of software like this is a double-edged sword, as always. That being said, this app does an important job for people who live on many devices. Let's put it this way: There is nothing comparable on Windows that can sync OneDrive, WebDAV and an Android device with the press of a single virtual button, and do it right every time. Well done!
Reverted to 2.9.12 because of issues in 2.9.13.
We continually strive to make FolderSync better and we add new features and fix bugs.
