Xferring from Google Drive to SD card doesn't work. I keep getting an error with Permission Denied. I've confirmed permission to external SD card is authorized. I change folder pairing to folder on internal drive and xfer happily works. I bought this app and use to xfer heavy amounts of work files to and from phone (5GB of data) so this is a very useful program. Running Android 7.0 on New Samsung Galaxy S8+. If you can fix the SD card permissions issue then I will 5-star.
Ads are annoying, but only really see them during setup, and there is a paid version without them, so fair enough. Does what it says on the tin, syncs local and remote folders and allows scheduling. Will probably buy the paid version at some point to directly support the developers... But honestly the ads probably pay more over time...
Awesome backup solution. I used to use Dropbox, but it'll only backup specific folders (e.g. Camera). After losing my phone along with some important files, I decided to find a more flexible solution. With Foldersync I can backup everything directly to my Win7 based home server (ftp on IIS) whenever my phone is on Wi-Fi (or not, if I choose). The only drawback is that it silently fails to sync whenever my ISP changes my home IP address.
Tries to sync long files, but fails at 100% and has to restart the whole thing. Can't cancel syncs (button doesn't work).
Mostly leaves me alone and just works. Not a lot of help when I gave it the incorrect settings for my local PC.. Took me a while to figure out how to switch to a memory card.. The UI was not obvious.
Work well with scp. Duplicity, rsync and encrypted volumes would be a welcome addition. Also, temporarily disabling syncs and cancel would be neat
Reverted to 2.9.12 because of issues in 2.9.13.
We continually strive to make FolderSync better and we add new features and fix bugs.
