Ratings and reviews

Pros: Looks great, simple to use and easy to understand, and the recent changes have helped weed out a lot of old, inactive accounts. Cons: No way to limit how far "nearby" is. All potential matches offered the last week or so are 250+ miles away. I'll drive a bit for someone, but not two or three states away. Really easy to accidentally swipe up or down when trying to advance to the next potential match. A simple sensitivity adjustment would be most welcome. Plenty of potential, keep going!

And another dating app bites the dust! I'll give that extra star for a very creative interface. I will email the folks at Down the details. Know that there are a lot of fake profiles on here. This app is better suited for 18-35. Tapping the screen is supposed to move through pictures, but tapping sometimes makes a choice instead. And there's no undo button. Down needs a way to distinguish itself from other apps. Until then, it's just more noise in a crowded room.

In general, vastly inferior to Tinder or Bumble or any of the others. The three choices, down, date, or skip don't make a lot of sense and it's really easy to select the wrong one. And even in the paid version there's no way to take back the swipe. The filtering options are massively limited compared to other dating apps, and the tech support is extraordinary weak, at best
