Personal Picture Index is a speech therapy tool for learning and practicing words. It is intended to provide assistance for sufferers of expressive aphasia by strengthening mental connections between spoken words, text, and images.
Unlike other apps that come with a pre-compiled dictionary, Personal Picture Index is lighter and intended to be adapted to your lifestyle. It does not include definitions, and while a small set of default words are included with the app, it is also capable of adding words using pictures from your camera or your gallery. Use this to help build (with the help of speech therapists or loved ones) a set of words that are recurring and relevant to your lifestyle, including significant people and places in your life.
Features: - 125 default words loaded and categorized - Add new words with pictures from device camera or gallery app - All categories and words are spoken aloud when selected - Change image size for easier viewing and scrolling

Note: No medical authorities or aphasia experts have endorsed Personal Picture Index, and it should be used with assistance from loved ones and speech therapists to ensure that it's encouraging correct associations between words and concepts.
