Croucher Summer Course in Information Theory 2015 (CSCIT 2015) is an one-week summer school to be hold in the Chinese University of Hong Kong before 2015 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT2015).
It provides a great opportunity for young researchers around the world, especially in Hong Kong and the East/South Asia region, to exchanges their works and ideas though poster presentations and workshops.
This application provides event attendants information, schedule, and the latest updates for this event.
Attendants can also exchange their information and posters by scanning the Authenticated QR codes on their name badges with this App.
Authenticated QR codes provide digitally-signed name badges based on the AuthPaper (Authenticated Papers) technology, which provides an offline, cost-effective, secure solution for authenticating paper-based documents/credentials.
Project details and the AuthPaper creation service are available on http://www.authpaper.net
The AuthPaper research project is supported in part by grants from the Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) of the Hong Kong SAR Government (Project no. ITS/300/13) and the Technology and Business Development Fund (TBF) of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Project code TBF14ENG004).
In this App, we will also collect some information anonymously on each successful scanning (scanning time, size of scanned QR code, number of frames taken, etc.) for usage statistics purpose, but the privacy information like QR code contents, camera images and user information are not collected.
