Nice app but... I like the ability to be able to report precip/met conditions. My biggest gripe with both the Apple/Android versions (I use both) is being forced to use the location services. It would be very nice to be able to predefine my locations, be able to select the one I want to report from without having to turn on location services. I know where I am at and prefer that Google, etc not know where I am at all times. I have other apps that have no problem with this so I don't think it would be a big deal.
Good App I think that being able to let the public tell what is going on in there spot of the world is something that will only help NWS be more able to tweek there radar maps as too what is realy happining & what is just ground cluter on radar. Please add more options so we can be more spasific about actual conditions. & the part where we can see the maps of regnal needs to be able to maby look by zip code instead of by whole chunks of the country. But I also realize it's faraly new & the tweeking will hopefly come
Nice Being involved with the NWS as well as Skywarn, I enjoy this App as I can send real time info. The only issues that I've had with the App is that it get my GPS coords. incorrect every so often and that on occasion it does not close properly and if you are not paying attention to things, it will drain your phone battery.
Researcher style app Please do something with the remainder of the screen real estate. Your wasting lots of space. Can not click on other locations. Seems like you should be able to especially if not obsing a tornado on the ground directly on top of you. If you want to get a good idea of the precip that falls or the weather situation allow users to make notes but require to pick a category. This would allow for better records and more precise information.
Would like more options! In all honesty, I definitely like the idea of helping with anything related with crowdsourcing. However, I do feel the categories could use some improvements. Personally speaking, I would like the option to report Light Fog and Flurries.
Need an additional feature You should add the ability to send pictures. Inches of snow and rain fall would be very helpful. For people with home weather stations, they could send snapshots of current conditions and history.
More reporting categories have been added to the mPING app. The layout of the graphical interface has been changed in response to user comments.
Application that brings videos, exercises, tips and guidelines focusing on ENEM.
