Nice idea, Poor implementation renders the app useless. I have a Samsung Galaxy S 2. The app shows exactly two recycling sites on the entire west coast. The buttons on the top don't do anything, the app lacks a menu, and I cannot see any of the screen shots shown in the description. Here is the problem with crowd-sourced database: until people populate the database with enough entries to make it useful to the average user, the app is useless. Furthermore, the default view ought to be street map, not satellite.. A satellite map looks pretty, but a street map would be more useful and consume a lot less bandwidth. And the map ought to default to view your current location. Instead, the default view shows the entire United States. It's a big country, and chances are, the average user isn't going to be interested in recycling centers on the other side of the continent. I played around with the app some more, and discovered the log in screen (the trick is ti press the BACK button on your device). This ought to be the app's home screen. Until someone seeds the app with a list of publicly available recycling centers, I see no reason to keep this on my device.
The app has been updated to run on the most recent hardware/devices.
