The app did not connect to the meter at first. After learning that LOCATION permission is necessary for BT-LE discovery (location can be derived from nearby BT radios), finally, there was success. So: LOCATION permission must not be denied. The app is useful, and does what it is supposed to, but I hate the 7-segment digits that imitate the meter's display - they are a compromise that is not necessary on a tablet or phone, where a proper, well readable font is available.

Galaxy A40. Note that in addition to having the LOCATION permission granted it also needs the location to be actually ON. Ridiculous android limitation... The app appears to work fine. There's a significant delay between the meter's screen and the app. Not sure if this is also a bluetooth limitation.
