I really like the app. It used to work great. But for some reason I have 2 issues now. First, when I click on the message icon it completely crashes the app! Second, unless I sign in I have no idea there is a pass due balance on my account because I never get notifications for bills, nor does the app tell me why I owe the money. You just expect me to blindly pay bills with no knowledge of what I am paying for, I do not like this at all!
If I could give this a ZERO I would. This will NOT allow me to change/enter a password. The old app was MUCH MORE USER FRIENDLY!!! I asked for assistance, no response. My physician office wants requests for Rx refills through app...I CANNOT COMPLY BECAUSE IT WON'T ALLOW ME!!! So, next step, file complaint with UPMC as well as my PCP and go from there. Thanks for NOTHING...another FLOP!!! YOUR IDEA IF A "RESPONSE" IS A JOKE!!! I CHANGED MY PASSWORD ON THE UPMC APP AND AM UNABLE TO CHANGE IT HERE. I AM FED UP WITH THIS!!!!
Convenient app. 1 problem is that it only allows for JPG files to be attached, which makes sending reports from other health apps to my doctor. I would like to see the ability to attach PDF files. As a nicety, would like to see MyChart be able to partner and link to other apps like Samsung Health, iHealth, and other mobile apps for tracking health data. Another nicety would to allow integration to mobile device's biometric security authentication components. Another useful function is to allow different hospital systems share records and results, if a HIPPAA disclosure is signed. I travel for work and have MyChart access in 2 different states with 2 different medical providers. Signed HIPPAA agreements with both medical systems. When questioned why medical data is not being updated, I am told that Epic / MyChart does not allow it. Adding this ability, plus creating a dashboard comprised of amalgamated data from multiple medical systems into one view would be extremely convenient. Also, please fix the issue with health reminders. I am told by my physician that when Epic does not have early childhood vaccinations completed in the system it will show boosters are required when they are not. They indicated that there is no way to override it to indicate vaccinations took place at another health system. I would imagine this was thought of since not a lot of people stay with 1 doctor and 1 health system from cradle to grave.
Never worked very well before, now you can't make appointments at all from app. Web based for isn't any better, says you've made an appt and never follows thru. Contact us robot just parses back what you complained about.
useful. once you manage to log in... this is the second time in a year (different state, different medical place) I've used this. or tried to. now, as then, logging in is really really hard. the temp pass doesn't work. reset: instantly it claims its expired. wait ten min. nope, says wrong. etc. in honolulu it took three days and countless phone calls with queens med cntr to get in. here, I'm on day one, multiple resets (by the clinic guy). so far, won't let me in. fix this issue!!!!
This is the best way I've found to ask questions about my husband's care without having to go through all the rigamarole receptionists and assistants put you through. Since we are unable to leave the house without the assistance of an ambulance, this is the next best thing to getting questions answered in person. Glad his doctor is willing to use it.
