Through this application, anybody interested in space can learn all the basics of GNSS systems. In seven chapters, the app guides the user through the principles GNSS systems are based on, the different GNSS types and their specificities, and also the problems GNSS systems face. Some of the chapters describe how GNSS systems are used in everyday life, while the final chapter gives a hint of what may be possible in the future. Special attention is paid to Galileo, the European global navigation satellite system. The app also includes simple interactive tasks. By completing all of them, the user unlocks a bonus chapter based on augmented reality.
If used in schools, the app provides material for 2 to 3 classes.
For the app to work correctly, it is also necessary to download the application 'ESERO: GNSS - 3D models and AR'.
The app has been developed with the support of the project ESA Contr. No. 4000112213/14/PA – ESERO Czech Republic.
