Installed this app on my Sony z3 and Samsung S7. Both phones functions and only the odd freeze , but not merely enough to discredit the app. This particular app costs R114 , any hardware that need to do all the functions this app can do is way over a R1000 and more. Ease of use with long exposure, time lapse and the manual mode with DSLR cameras, I am using Canon 600D, works perfect . This app surely challenges the bigger companies to release their software at reduced cost. Currently This is the only app that function via OTG cable and WiFi. Amazing work guys I will surely purchase all of you future photography apps. Well done. 😁
The most useful app I've ever bought here When I realized that I forgot to take my remote control while already being on holiday in Thailand, I was in great despair because original app by Canon does actually nothing. And I do timelapses. You can imagine how happy I was when I figured out that there is an app that can do timelapses over WiFi with even more control than my wired rc! Totally loved it. Works perfectly, very fast and battery consumption is small. ASUS Zenfone 5 2GB RAM & Canon 70D.
This DSLR Controller App is amazing. I’m using it with a Galaxy Tab S2 (9.7”) tablet running Android 6.0.1, connected to my Canon EOS 5D Mark III DSLR camera. The Tab S2 supports OTG connection. I use my Canon 5D for astrophotography, connected to an 8” Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope, so being able to see the images full screen on the tablet makes this type of photography so much more enjoyable.
Fantastic Use 5D Mk3 and 550D. Tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 7 inch, free from Virgin with phone deal. OTG cable from Asda, £5. Using USB cable that came with my 5D. Downloaded Shutter Release app first, plugged in, switched on, no problems. Paid for DSLR Controller and worked first time. Have had no problems at all. A very good app. I use it for photography only, when the camera is in an awkward position, ie inverted or mounted high. Works flawlessly with both 5D and 550D. Looking for a good way to mount tablet.
Purchased this app now felt i wasted 500 rupees. Can't focus smoothly by dragging the focusing window it's slow and lagging. Where as canons camera connect free app does it pretty fast. Shutter count not detected -1. Was waiting for an update that's never going to come to fix these issues now I see that this app is last updated in 2016. Really? Kindly fix these issues or initiate a refund please. Using on moto g5 plus to connect to canons 750d/t6i
I purchased this app and it worked GREAT on my Note 5. I now have the Pixel XL and it does NOT work. Yes, I have the correct cable(s). The app does not even recognize my Canon 60D (as it did with the Note 5). I still give a 5 star rating because it was simply THE BEST app on my Note 5. I hope there is a fix for the Pixel XL or a simple solution. Keep up the great work Devs! **********UPDATE: Thank you for the fast response from the Dev, it is now working great! It was a bad OTG adapter just as you suggested! Thank You!**********
NOTICE: There are still a few issues with 5D Mark IV support when using USB. We advise using NFC-initiated Wi-Fi for now!
