Works with 550d/t2i and nexus 5 Got this app- pretty darn useful and works fine with my canon 550d (t2i/kiss x4) and a nexus 5- I used a OTG cable with a micro USB not HDMI and haven't experienced any problems! IF YOU DONT LIKE YOU CAN GET REFUND! I have not found out how to monitor audio- don't know if you can do it. Also I have magic lantern on my camera and it doesn't cause any issues
A must have tool for DSLR users with Android phones Works like a charm! I can confirm that it works on my Lenovo P780, Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4. It has the occasional force close but no totally a deal breaker since it only happens once in a while and on extensive use only. The server remote feature is great for use in photobooth and studio pictorial situations.
Perfect I tried the remote shutter app to test connectivity first, no joy. It turned out to be a faulty cable which I checked by trying to plug into my pc. Tried a new cable and connected first time. Downloaded the full DSLR controller app and have to say very impressed. Really ideal for use with a tripod for setup shots so you can adjust all your manual settings without moving the camera, especially if you are trying macro shots even a button press on the body can move you out of focus.
Does not support Nikon products It is not clearly stated in the google play description, but DSLR Controller only works with cannon products. I paid for the app in hopes that I would be able to use my Nikon d3200 more efficiently, but it will not allow for any sort of live view or even a photo capture for that matter.
Works with Canon Rebel T2i; nice review mode Used it with the T2i, from a Galaxy Note 3, worked fine (will likely use this for some birding.) Surprisingly fast at scrolling through stored pictures on the camera, too. Tried it on a Canon SX50 (superzoom, not dslr) and review mode *did* work, but none of the viewfinder features did (it's not *expected* to, but it's a Canon so I thought I'd try it anyway :-)
Take the plunge! For a start, it's not breaking the bank! I admit that I am using it for stills at the moment. But don't rely on testing using the Alpha release., the free one, it was a bit hit and miss. Once I decided to pay for the Beta version it was very straightforward. Btw I am using a Canon 1dx plus either a Sony xperia z3 8"tablet or Samsung Galaxy Note 3..although still being developed, this is an amazing app. All I wanted was a real time view of the photos I take but on a large screen, you get much more.
