It worked fine when it did. Today though it left me with only recovery booting and showing "no command". Haven't found any way to recover so far. Factory reset didn't work, neither did flashing TWRP. Now I do a full reset by flashing the official google images. Forunately I have a nexus 5x where this is possible. No matter how well this app worked until yesterday, this isn't reliable enough to be save to use. Maybe I'll try again in a year or so, for now I'll stop rooting my phone.
Easy enough to use, however, there are a few things that could do with improving. At the time of writing this review, the latest release of SuperSU is 2.78SR3, however, Flashfire is still languishing on 2.78SR1. I have also noticed that it doesn't flash items in the order that you add them. A recent example being where I wanted to change roms completely and so I chose to Wipe my device and then added the relevant Zip files for the new rom. Flashfire decided to install the Zip's first and then Wipe my device! It would also be a nice touch if it was able to survive a Wipe and re-install itself. Apart from the above, it does what it needs to do I guess.
Awesome!! This really worked well, a lot easier than NRT. It's so much easier to use! Just hit 'Flash Firmware Package', find the zipped file you downloaded, and press 'Flash'. This is for Power Users, or at least experienced techies. I came from Odin Pro and still contributed to FlashFire. I would give it more stars if I could.
5 stars because it's by Chainfire but... This app soft bricked my GS6 phone. I tried to load updated stock rom without changing any setting. I was stuck on boot loop afterwards with the error dm-verity verification failed... Only thing that solved it was to load stock firmware using Odin.
Awesome app if you know what you're doing. Without this, there would be no way to flash custom roms on many locked bl devices. Only complaint is when you add a wipe and then rom, the wipe stays at the bottom. If I add it first it should wipe first. Yes, I can move it, but not everyone knows that.
Wonderful app It says not tested on LG devices, so I knew the risk, but im glad I took it cuz it worked wonderfully. I was able to even use the adb over network commands using this app, anyways I have an lg g3 d850 and this app saved me from a lot of hassle. Thanks!!
