Great app. I am hesitant to flash boot partitions with it, but otherwise does everything my custom recovery does, only more convenient, though I leave it on there in case of a no boot situation. After Chainfire let me freeload Pro on this and one other app, I went Pro on all 3 apps I am currently using as I have found his apps very useful and he is not greedy. All are functional in the free version without crapware added.
This app works great for me, most of the time. My only wish would be for EverRoot to have a customizable root app (I use MagiskSU instead of SuperSU). I know I can manually select the Magisk ZIP to flash it after updating, but it would be super convenient for it to be automated.
I have tried several apps to make a Nandroid backup on a Chinese smartphone (Lenovo) running with Android 5.1.This apps was the sole to succeed. Bravo ! Donation, of course ! Please continue. One more info: to backup, I need to run the process 2 times - the first time, I only have a reboot, the second time this app makes the backup alright. Great!
Chainfire, thank you so much. This app is a saviour for those who do not have a custom recovery. Flashed Xposed without a problem. I'll donate to you in the future, you earned it. Big thanks again man
I have flashed radios and made backups so far. I went back to stock recovery because from what I have read I will not need a custom anymore. Looking forward to using it to flash the next update (either the full package or the OTA if it comes fast enough).
This was the only way for me to installing a custom ROM, since my device has a locked bootloader. I do wish that a) wipe would not be put at the bottom every time, and b) FlashFire would reinstall itself after a wipe. Otherwise, awesome work, and thanks! 😁 Also, when will this time bomb actually go off?
- Add support for multi-stage OTAs
- Fix possible NPE during OTA uncrypt
- Fix logic failure during OTA uncrypt
- Fix unsupported root detection
- Fix root detection sometimes failing
- Prefer system-supplied reboot binary to our own
- Adjust timebomb for non-Pro users to September 01, 2017
NOTE: Sometimes OTA still reboots to recovery with an error, just reboot manually
