Binary update problems. Cannot update the binary when I need to, normal method fails and the recovery method causes bootloops. Flashing the zip myself from TWRP seems to do nothing, it all goes alright while in recovery but upon reboot there is no Super SU app in my app drawer. Not sure what to do about it now, any suggestions?
Root gets messed up after updating app Here's the thing. I'm using HTC One M8, Custom Sense Rom installed. Android marshmallow and we'll it's pretty rooted, the root works well like it should but as soon as I update the app it gets messed up, yes I did flash the latest super su zip file but that doesn't really help, can you guys please fix that asap. Anyways it's a great and straight forward app.
I've had this app rated 5 stars since 12/13 But, I decided to revamp my review for those who are having trouble losing SU's functions or having trouble updating the binary. If you are having trouble, cold boot your device. This should fix most problems.
No more problems. Here is how I solve my binary update problems. (1) full unroot the device (2) reroot using kingroot v4.52_xxx (3) Replace supersu in mrw folder to the latest version and rename it to Superuser. (4)Replace kingroot with superuser and update binaries.. Only do the above steps if you root with kingroot v4.52
This is very practical, powerful and lightweight tool. Furthermore, it requires no unnecessary permissions, and it is fairly simple to use. For all of you uneducated folks, you should know that this is by far, without any doubt, the highest quality tool in its domain, while being completely free. Please do yourselves a favour and check out xda forums to learn about good old, open source free of charge stuff and don't even bother about rating it if your rate will not be 5/5. One of the best android tools ever created by exceptionally talented and hardworking developer, Mr. Chainfire ! Thank you for sharing your hard work and for inspiring me. May you have merry life, and all those other devs who are not running after big earnings and requiring absurd permissions.
I read what was to be updated but nothing about having to purchase a pro-key to allow rooted apps aIready on the phone to be updated. I believe in supporting apps so just put the fee up front and don't be sneaky! Furthermore, rumors this app was sold to China? Is buying the key now two ways...
