I will go ahead and give this 5 stars because I've used it for years. I recently got an S7 Edge (V model) for the Verizon network and rooted it with the Engineer root. There was a security update that I had to force using my laptop. After that, SUPERSU said it needed to be updated. After the update and reboot, I lost root. I was able to reroot, I just don't update SUPERSU. I'll wait for a new update to resolve the issue?
2 82 killed my root. My phone is still rooted because it shuts down and reboots with the custom stuff but SuperSU no longer sees my root. 2.81 worked just fine.
I have been using this SuperUser app for years with no problems until the last update. After the update and binaries were updated my phone lost all root access, now I will be re rooting my phone and will be considering a different super user app from now on.
The new update broke root on my S7 Edge, but not on my shield tablet....weird. I've rerooted my S7 and not updating it until its sorted. This used to be very good but the new devs have messed it up big time. Come back chainfire we miss you !!
Whats with the new permissions on the mandatory free app? I'm a paying customer why all the permissions again? (Update: permissions are fixed but my battery life is gone (Switch root apps folks its not worth it.
Does not work latest version on my SC-02F. I feel so sad. you published unnecessary update :(
