The Senate of the Economy sees itself as a community of values comprised of leading figures from business and academia who are committed to the common good. What unites us is the endeavor to engage with policy at both the national and European levels and to support it with solutions that benefit society. The Senate does not represent any particular interests or political objectives.
Plurality and openness to innovation are central elements of our collaboration. The Senate follows the guiding principle of John F. Kennedy: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." Our other goals include promoting values-based corporate governance and a global ecological and social market economy. We share these commitments with, among others, our honorary senators Jean-Claude Juncker, Rosi Gollmann, Dr. Gerd Müller, Prof. Günter Verheugen, Prof. Sigmar Gabriel, and Prof. Dr. Jürgen Rüttgers.
The "Senate of the Economy App" provides our senators with centralized access to all key Senate topics, events, and content. You can view the annual plan and calendar, register directly for events, and access current newsletters, minutes, and substantive insights. The app allows you to participate in the activities and life of the Senate—actively or passively—regardless of location or time. This ensures you stay well-informed and actively involved at all times.
To use the app, you will need your personal access code, which you receive as a Senator. Allow location services in the app to access additional information that is only available when you are physically present, for example, at an event.
The app also helps you connect to the Wi-Fi network in our offices.
