How It Works

Privacy & Permissions
- Notifications: Required to deliver alerts when coverage is detected.
- Network access: Needed to fetch live data from VATSIM/IVAO and your configured backend.
- Data handling: SimAlert stores only what’s needed to deliver alerts (e.g., device token, chosen callsign and settings). No third‑party ads.
Tips & Troubleshooting
- Ensure notifications are enabled in system settings (especially on Android 13+).
- If you use battery optimization or data saver, allow SimAlert to run in the background so alerts arrive on time.
- For the most accurate controller details, keep the app updated. Information shown depends on what the network provides at that moment.
- If you don’t receive alerts, verify the callsign and that it’s online and moving toward/within a covered area.
