Great back in the day I had 4EXT recovery on my HTC desire and it was far better than CWM, which was about the only other decent option. Shame I haven't been able to use it with my last 2 phones; Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. TWRP has been a good alternative but I still would switch to 4EXT again in a heartbeat if it was available for the Nexus 5.
God of Recoveries! After upgrading my phone to the Galaxy Note 2, I'm not able to use this app because it isn't supported yet. but this app is a MUST HAVE for any root user. Can't wait until it works on the Note 2 . Your team definitively has my support!
Worth every dime of what I've spent This recovery is hands down the best. I would buy it all over again, lets hope I don't need to ;) Update: I really miss 4Ext now that I'm using a Nexus 5.
Update please? Yes, miss having this app on my new phone (SGS4). Worked like a champ on the old phone. Stuck with TWRP now. Boo!
Best recovery ever! If your app would cost 5x more I would buy it.Best developer ever!He responds quickly and resolve things faster then you could say cheese. Thanks for this beautiful piece of software which makes my old senny so cool to play with.Regards
4EXT: Where were you all my life??? When I first moved to the dark/creative/mischievous side and rooted my DInc2, I let AlphaRev 'nvflash' a ClockworkMod Recovery image and have been using it ever since. I've had occasional problems with filesystem manipulation, but Nandroid backups and restores were fine. Enter 4EXT Recovery Touch and Recovery Control, and it feels like I made a quantum leap into a whole new era of Recovery improvements. Not only is ext3 and ext4 (unavailable in ClockworkMod) supported, but conversion between them, low-level 'fsck'-like filesystem checking and repair of the SD card, on-the-fly Recovery upgrades and Nandroid backup scheduling, backward support for my ancient yaffs2 and latest tar format backups, a fully functional and sexy touchscreen Recovery interface, partition manipulation and formatting, live stats and cache wiping, etc. The list goes on and on. My only regret is that I hadn't installed 4EXT Recovery and Recovery Control much, much earlier. Thanks for an excellent suite of software for my poor, unloved HTC Incredible 2.
