PRIVACY

Products, dates, prices, shopping lists and stats stay on your phone by default. No account, no sign-up, no ads, no ad networks.

For receipt scanning, the photo (or a PDF's text) is sent momentarily to Anthropic's Claude AI to recognize the products. Nothing is stored, nothing is linked to you, and Anthropic doesn't use your data to train models.

Household sharing is the only feature where part of your food data is stored on a server — and only if you create or join a household yourself. The household then shares items, shared shopping lists and entries under an anonymous ID; your receipts, product memory and settings stay on your device. When the last member leaves, the household's data is deleted.

Nouveautés

The shopping list got two requested changes: prices can be hidden with a single tap, and the add field moved to the bottom of the screen, within thumb's reach. While you type, the rest of the view steps out of the way.

Fixed an issue where the app could get stuck on the “Notifications needed” screen with no way to allow notifications from your phone's settings. You can now use Fango without notifications and grant permission later.
