Review from Erick Carrera
Its still buggy 5 years later. Sometimes things dont refresh. Or no content would be scrollable. Switched to google play newstand. Because its actually stable.

Love this app! One suggestion: Hide articles. I don't like to see images of some articles such as sad pet stories (ex. An article had a dog with a cigarette burn scar on his head as the front picture). But I have to report to get it off my screen or I can "show less like this" which makes it show less pets articles but I like pet articles just the happy or educational articles.
It's a great way to browse through articles, as well as share and explore them. I wish the sharing and follow functions were a bit more robust. There are times when i forget what direction swipes i need to perform to turn the page or advance to the next article but the opposite direction swipe easily remedies such mistakes. Perhaps an unobtrusive navigation reminder might prove useful, though, for those of us with such memory issues. 😁
Malware infected. A couple of times now i have been browsing articles on Flipboard and without doing anything it pops up a phishing advert telling me my phone (it knows the model) is infected with viruses and to please click on the link to install a fix. Classy!
The app crashes often. The daily email links won't open in the app. Certain news sources have a read limit without a subscription, but don't warn you until you open an article. There are many other little frustrations, but too many to list. Could be a great app. Instead it's an occasional time killer.
Updated for 2018. Still no fixes to problems and issues. Might be newer, but it has the same old bugs. No idea what they are supposedly fixing, because it's the same existing problems. Crashes while reading; while turning a page; or even while doing nothing at all. If you close and article and reopen it, it reloads the article. There doesn't appear to be any kind of caching going on. And forget landscape if you're on a phone. After all who needs to read in landscape made if you're not on a tablet. Best of all - if you start disliking types of articles - you'll keep getting them from more and more obscure sources.
This is perhaps the most useful app of this kind। I request the developers to use an algorithm that employs user tastes and merit of the news to create a hierarchy of news articles in each section so that the most important and relevant things strike the eyes first and foremost in each section। Secondly, there should be an option to review top news of each past day in each section, say the most relevant 5 or ten articles। That way, people hard pressed for time will bike getting a gist of the important things even at a glance। Thanks a lot💕
