Amazing app Unlike most other apps this one doesn't give you a multiple choice it shows either the katakana or hiragana then you have to type the answer such as か (Ka) both hiragana and katakana are available to practice, choose from the list of full kana complete with dakuten and handakuten that you want to study and away you go... Best learning app for these that I've used so far, really accelerated my remembrance of the kana when the luxury of multiple choice was taken away from me
User friendly BUT not a beginner's app. You would first need a kana learning app then install this for refining your kana and maybe learn some phrases. EVEN then, you need to pay to get the phrases (1st pack free). Why 4 star? The SRS daily testing system is, I would say, very effective. Great way to learn phrases, however I would put a price on SRS rather than phrase packs (I'd think if it as great deal at maybe 1.99...I'm cheap)
Best learning app! Not only does it look good (unlike many education apps) but it's also very effective! Also I normally don't do in-app purchases but this was really worth it. Thank you! I think it would be cool if you could include kana writing practice next please!
Very good! The best thing about this app is the fact that it's not multiple choice. Having to input the answer is much more effective for me. As a new learner several hiragana and katakana options of multiple choice can be confusing. Minus one star for not being 100% free and not having the option to practice writing, but overall a great learning tool.
I like it better than a few others I've tried. Well on my way to mastering Hiragana with the 'practice selected kana' function. I don't know if I would pay for more exercises for the vocabulary though. You get one package with some very basic phrases for free. I'd like a way to eat access to more without paying, but I haven't seen anything like that.
This definitely helped me beef up my hiragana and katakana. The vocabulary rubrics are good for common words. It's not meant to be a complete learning course. This is for getting a grasp and a foothold on the basics without being overwhelming and without costing an arm and a leg. (BTW, thanks for adding colors and animals in another rubric.)
This update resolves the mean bug that inserted itself into some users app with yesterday's update.
