How can we reduce the number of packaging when we buy our meals to take away?
Over 2 million disposable containers were used in Monaco in 2020.
They only serve a few tens of minutes and take more than 100 years to degrade.
The good news ? You can act...
The Prince's Government, with the MaConsigne brand, is moving forward and implementing the gradual abolition of single-use packaging.
The objective: to move forward on the path to zero waste.
Returnable glass containers are offered by partner restaurants instead of non-reusable containers. They can be dropped off within 14 days, at 20 collection terminals throughout the city.
Collection, washing and redistribution are supported by local actors.
In concrete terms, how does that work ?
Nothing's easier !
On the application, choose your space: customer or restaurateur
Are you a customer?
1. Create your account
2. Fill in your credit card details
3. When you buy your take-out meals, choose the “MaConsigne” option and present your customer QR code to the restaurant owner
4. The credit card entered in the application is used to block a deposit of €7 per container... this is the famous deposit!
5. Then pay for your meal as you usually do (CB, Liquide, Ticket restaurant, Carlo)
6. Collect your order in a glass container
7. You have 14 days to return your container to one of the terminals provided for this purpose
The deposit of 7€ per container is lifted!
Are you a restaurant owner?
1. Order from “MaConsigne” the number of glass containers needed for your activity
2. Arrange your meals in these containers
3. If the customer chooses the option "Order with "MyConsigne"", scan the QR code of each container then the customer's QR code
4. It's over! You have nothing more to do; “MaConsigne” takes care of the rest and your customer leaves satisfied.
