Planning meals takes hours, and you still end up eating the same thing. That was my problem, and that's why Popotam exists.
Tell it how many people are eating, what you don't eat and how much time you have. It builds your meal plan for the week, lunch and dinner, plus the grocery list that goes with it.
MEAL PREP
One afternoon in the kitchen, and your whole week is ready. Popotam builds a timed plan for your session: what to start first, what simmers while you chop, all adapted to your kitchen (number of burners, oven or not, multicooker) and to the time you have. It works out how long each dish keeps, based on official food safety guidelines, and tells you what goes in the fridge, what goes in the freezer, what's better made on the day, and how to reheat it all. Check off steps as you go, with timers that ring even when you switch screens.
YOUR WEEK, OR YOUR MONTH
Plan up to four weeks ahead and shop only once: the list adds up the whole month, and an ingredient shared by two recipes shows up only once. Popotam can also prepare next week on its own, ready on Monday. And you reshuffle your week in one move: swap two meals, change one, add one.
THE GROCERY LIST
Sorted by aisle, you check it off at the store. What you already have at home comes off the list in one tap, and the estimated budget follows. A canceled meal leaves the list with its ingredients.
TOGETHER, LIVE
Share a meal plan with a link or a QR code, and everyone runs it from their own phone. What one person changes shows up for the other within seconds: one checks off groceries at the store while the other changes tonight's dinner. You can also keep several named meal plans and switch between them.
NOT FEELING A DISH?
Ask for another one, the same dish made vegetarian, lighter or faster, or write what you're craving. Scroll through ideas that match your tastes and keep the ones that make you hungry. The ones you love go into your cookbook, and Popotam avoids serving you what you ate recently.
FRIDGE RAID
Say what you have on hand: Popotam suggests dishes that use it, and tells you what's missing.
COMING FROM MEALIME?
Mealime is shutting down. Popotam brings over your recipes, your diet, your allergies and the foods you won't eat, from a computer in one click, or from your recipe PDFs on your phone.
CALORIES, NO GUESSWORK
Calories and macros for each dish, each day and the whole week, calculated from the official French food composition table (ANSES Ciqual). When the math isn't reliable, Popotam shows nothing rather than a wrong number.
IT ADAPTS TO YOU
Diet, allergies and the foods you dislike are strictly excluded. Maximum cooking time, quick weeknights, seasonal produce, pantry items to use up, what you grow yourself (eggs, garden). Favorite cuisines, spice level, a balanced, high-protein, light or comfort goal, and how much you want to save on your cart. You also pick which meals to plan, slot by slot. In English or French, with US or metric units.
THE RECIPES
Every dish can become a step-by-step recipe: measured ingredients, equipment, steps, tips and timers. Print it, keep it in your cookbook, or share it.

Your meal plan, your list and your recipes stay available without a connection.
