A half-done product Pros: Ad-free! Interface looks decent. Both the main text editing setting windows. Cons: issues with tabs & indentation: - Missing: use spaces for tabs - No auto-identation. - Doesn't accept tabs from my bluetooth keyboard. Instead tab key simply switches focus on UI controls. Conclusion: not fit for serious work (yet)
Simple and straightforward I just needed to jot down random notes, grocery lists etc. This is perfect. It has a straightforward notepad feel. Just turn on word wrap if you are using this for that. I can see myself using this for minor word processing as well. The only drawback is no autocap at the beginning of sentences. A very small price to pay for something so useful . A true pocket knife for droid.
Light weight text editor with minimal permissions. Simple, quick, and easy to use, though with so much choice out there, the lack of required permissions was the reason I originally chose this app. Spoilt by the lack of a Share option and its inability to Delete files. An addition I'd like would be an option in Settings to select a default folder for "Open" & "Save As" (ie a selectable working folder for TED), along with a separate option to start the app with that folder open.
Great app Lightweight and functional, i programmed a 3d game from scratch using this, those bulky features arent worth the computing expense to me. Would give 5 stars for a snap-to zoom feature though instead of manually increasing font size, maybe a pinch type UI would be sweet. No extra features though just that :-)
Does what it says on the tin But you better make dang sure you save! Because there's NO auto save, and you can never tell when memory pressure will force this app to close. It really really should save the current file and position when closing. It should be impossible to tell if it was forced to close and then reopen.
It seems to work... ...but i think i like 'simple text editor' better. At least this was better than Jota for me. I dont like any app that puts eulas or ads in my face first thing. I didn't have any problems like that with this one, so i say it's a good alternative.
