This is the best reddit app out there. It's good when rating/commenting, very easy with links. Has what to offer. One thing I would like them to add is more customization on the colors, looks and feel of the app. Some unexpected crash here and there (Samsung S5) but overall i'm very pleased with this app that's why my 5 star rating. PS love the new name, fits well.
Best way so far to surf reddit, I've found. Just lacks a couple options to make it perfect, like skipping ahead in videos and making voting arrows available without swiping over first.
The new update is what this app needed! One of my biggest gripes was not being able to see what I was replying to, and had to commit the entire thing into memory before making a comment, which is hell for longer comments. The rest is just icing on the cake, or things it needed as well like the auto draft saving, even though Google's newer keyboard made selecting all and copying easier I think. Now I will no longer need to do that if it functions correctly! I haven't tried to use the new update fully, so not sure if there's any issues, but so far everything is quality of life changes, or needed fixes like the UI cutoff sometimes. Still a better app than the official Reddit app, since they were a bit late to the game creating one and still my preferred, and referred Reddit app, and it only just got that much better!
I've been through many reddit apps and I have to say Relay is one of the best. My favourite part is the ability to switch almost seamlessly between a comment thread and the in-app browser, while other apps I've used like RiF require you to back all the way out of the browser to access the comments.
I love that app but would like some additional features (but would love the dev to tell me if I missed them): The ability to fix the header and footer section when scrolling my front page. An in card section to share a post, ideally reducing the number of required taps to do so from four to two. The option to have the vote section under comments like in the official reddit app. The ability to view images the moment you tap on a post, and not having to swipe for them. Please reply devs! I'd love to help out!
I wish that there was a nice way to browse image subreddits. IE, BaconReader shows the post and image as a single page, then lets you swipe left and right through all posts in the sub.
- the 'text' button in the web view now uses the mercury API
- links are now inserted at the cursor position in comment replies
- fixed quoting of images/emotes
- fixed some force close issues
